in 2020-2021 FIRM partnered with the City of Key West to develop the Keyswide Home Elevation Education project and workshop series. The goal of the project was to demystify the process of home elevation for residents so they can begin to get a handle on what such a project involves.
The project included a series of Contractors Workshops, Homeowners Workshops, and a series of one-page home elevation project summaries. The project dovetailed with the Monroe County Land Development’s FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Grant Program.
