In June, FIRM welcomed three new board members. Joining the board are Nicole McCoy of Cudjoe Key, Anna Richards of Tavernier and Michael Wedincamp of Key West.

Nicole is an Associate Professor at the College of the Florida Keys where she teaches business, economics and financial analytics. She has a strong interest in cost-benefit analysis and risk modeling. Nicole holds an MBA and a PhD in resource economics.

Anna is the owner of Massey-Richards Surveying, a certified floodplain manager and a Florida licensed Realtor. She works in the land surveying field dealing with elevations, construction, and FEMA flood elevation certificates every day. Anna currently serves as a councilmember for Islamorada Village of Islands.

Michael is the Communications Coordinator for Keys Energy Services, where he leads public outreach during emergencies, crafts communication strategies, and coordinates volunteer initiatives. He also serves on the board of directors for the Sister Season Fund. Michael holds a Masters in public administration.

FIRM was sad to see John Paul Castro and Wayne Carter step down after their years of service.

FIRM’s board of directors are all volunteers and bring a wide range of skills to help FIRM continue its mission. You can learn more about the board here.
