**UPDATE: The application deadline has been extended to November 2, 2022

FIRM has been working with Monroe County, the Florida Keys Contractors Association and others to identify contractors who will assist homeowners with completing the cost estimate portion of the application.

“Contractor assistance is vital to the success of this program to alleviate future flood risk,” explains Christine Hurley, Executive Director of the Monroe County Land Authority which oversees the program.

“From helping homeowners to develop a budget for elevating and rebuilding their homes as part of the Federal grant application, to permitting and construction, contractors are helping to create a more resilient community for many decades.” 

Monroe County is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2022 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Grant Program until November 2, 2022.

The following contractors have agreed to be a resource for grant applicants:

Key West – Lower Keys – Marathon
