First Horizon Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to FIRMKeys to support the research and community outreach concerning FEMA’s newly implemented Risk Rating 2.0 rating structure as well as the updated flood insurance rate maps for Monroe County.

First Horizon has supported FIRMKeys’ efforts in reviewing the proposed flood maps introduced by FEMA in January 2020. FIRMKeys then partnered with the City of Key West to develop an appeal to those maps.  Monroe County and the other municipalities also submitted appeals in the summer of 2021.  FEMA is still reviewing those appeals.

Michele White, Sr. Commercial Relationship Manager/SVP with First Horizon, has served on FIRM’s Board of Directors since 2014, and is currently in her third term as Treasurer. FIRM is grateful for Michele’s valuable contributions to FIRM’s efforts and for the commitment by First Horizon Foundation to support the causes that are important to its associates.
