City of Key West Floodplain Manager Scott Fraser is presenting an update on the analysis of FEMA’s preliminary floodmaps to the Key West Commission tonight.

The 90-day appeal period begins this week, and Fraser is giving a summary of the results of the re-study performed by Woods Hole Group and Ransom Consultants. The presentation includes a detailed interactive map that allows the user to pinpoint specific properties. You can see Fraser’s interactive presentation here.

FIRM supported an analysis of FEMA’s maps shortly after the first preliminary data was shared in 2019. Monroe County, the Village of Islamorada and the City of Marathon have also contracted Woods Hole Group to analyze the maps for the rest of the county and municipalities.

You can access the City Commission Meeting on the City of Key West website.
