There will be two Storm Surge Analysis Update Meetings for the Southeast Florida Coastal Project. The purpose of the meetings is to update the community on the progress of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) coastal flood risk study for Southeast Florida, which has been undertaken as part of the Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP) program. This project is part of a region-wide coastal analysis and mapping effort. Each meeting will focus on the surge results, and a meeting with the mapping results and work maps will be held at a later date once the overland wave analysis is complete.

The first meeting is scheduled for May 1 from 1:00-2:30 pm in the City Commission Chambers, Key West City Hall, 1300 White Street.

The second meeting will be held on May 2 from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Conference Room at the City of Marathon office, 9805 Overseas Highway.

The public is invited to attend.
