The Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) has released the claims data for the two hurricanes that made landfall in Florida in 2016.  Once again Monroe County has among the fewest claims in the state for both storms.  Hurricane Hermine had 19,638 total claims with Leon County coming in with the most at 3,734, followed by Pinellas with 1,937 and Citrus with 1,756.  Monroe had seven claims.

There were a total of 112,000 claims from Hurricane Matthew with  Volusia County having the most claims at 32,072, followed by Duval with 17,865 and Brevard with 14,467.  Monroe had 26 claims.

These numbers are total claims including flood, homeowners, and interruption of business and include data from a multiple  insurers.
